Cartoony platforms
Just a small bitch, a small whine…. I really don’t like how when you want to write a new post and choose “New Post” from anywhere other than the drop down menu on your blog, you end up with this weird cartoony looking platform. I don’t know WHY it irritates me so, it’s not as if I’m writing mind blowing prose or any manifesto that is going to change the world, and it’s not as if the cartoony platform would CHANGE me doing those things. But it irritates me nevertheless. And this is coming from someone who watches cartoons, loves unicorns, glitter, rainbows and all things bright and childlike. I should probably work on letting this irritate me less…but here, see for yourself…
It’s like it has gone completely oversimplified to avoid confusing people…but…it loses functionality. When you go to “text” (as in I want to write a blog post…) it gives you just this square to write in, there is no section to do tags, or alter publication time. And in the past I’ve had problems with what I’ve written there just POOF disappearing. Why can’t I just choose “text”, the blog and be taken to the same page I would have seen if I’d gone to the pull down menu, chosen “new” and then “post.” I guess THAT’s really what irritates me…it’s not consistent. And it irritates me. And now you all know why Ace likes his drinks strong …
